Welcome to our family web site.   Please visit the Weir Family Photo Page for an introduction.

We moved in December 1996 from Sunnyvale, California (Silicon Valley) to Collierville, Tennessee (Memphis area). We moved when Gary accepted a new position with FedEx in technical support (Memphis is headquarters for FedEx).  He accepted a software testing position in June 1999.

Collierville is a nice, small community east of Memphis. Although it is growing rapidly, it still maintains some of its small town charms. Visit the "Town of Collierville" web page.

Heather is in her first year at university and Elise is in her third year.

We found a great church partially thru their web page. It is near the border of Collierville and Germantown, which is the next town west of us. The name of the church is Grace Evangelical Church. I started putting the church's sermons up on their web site in October of 1999.  Check out their web site and visit the "Sermons Online" page to listen in or subscribe to the podcasts.

If you're looking for a good contractor, Jerry Graham has done several jobs for us and we've been very pleased with his work.  I made a separate page here for those that would like more information about Jerry Graham.

I've been using the Internet since about 1991and have switched Internet Service Providers at least 6 times during that period (Comcast is at least the 7th). It was always hard to let everyone know in e-mail what my new e-mail address was whenever I switched plus I would have to notify any mailing lists services as well of the change. Just before we left California, I found out about permanent e-mail address accounts and signed up with one of them. I chose POBox.com although there are a few others. They receive the e-mail and then forward it to whatever real e-mail address you tell them that you are currently using. You can also give them your main web page address and have that forwarded to your true web page so that when you change providers, you only have to notify POBox.com of the new web page address and not everyone else. We've been using POBox.com since 1996 and it has worked well for us.  POBox.com has provided us with consistently excellent and reliable service.  They also offer the best Spam blocker service I've ever used (included at no extra cost in the service).

Thanks for stopping by. Wow, you are visitor number counter-speedo.gif (10093 bytes) ...;-)
